What is life coaching

The profession of a life coach has been around for about 20 years, in nz for about 4-5 years. Current trends dictate that coaching will be here for quite some to come. Life coaching is the term used. But it is something that we all do at some point or another. To articulate what life coaching is, would be quite a mammoth task, so I will mention the key points of interest.

An alliance between two people, and the desired outcome.

The synergistic effect.

Facilitate processes for effective transition. This means that the effort put in does not have to equal the size of the goal!

Helping achieve goal, while enhancing quality of life. ( looking at the journey).

A life coach keenly observes all areas of the client’s life and reality.

A coach does not pass judgment or say “this worked for me, so it will work for you.

A coach always gives the client the option to do something.

Although we do not deal with psychological issues, we work closely with these agencies. Counselor=past issues coach= future results.

This is a relationship that comprises of the client doing most of the work, after all, the client knows best.

The client controls the session, the coach navigates.

Coaches don’t give the clients ‘a fish’, we teach people how to fish

The results

The client is then propelled into this effortless equation for the most effective results possible, for that particular client.

Achieve desired results and enhance quality of life.

The end result may not be as important as the dynamic implications of the journey
